How do you collect the saliva?
After you have contacted the MuSK 1000 study team and given your consent and provided us your lab test verifying an elevated MuSK antibody, we mail you a collection tube and after you fill it you send the sample back to us in the pre-addressed and pre-paid mailer.
Collection precautions
- Do NOT eat, drink, smoke or chew gum for 30 minutes before giving your saliva sample.
- Do NOT remove the plastic film from the funnel lid.
Procedure
Most people take between 2 and 5 minutes to complete collection.
